This trailer was created to present the sponsors of the 2011 Chicago Gay and Lesbian Film Festival. It ran before every screening at all venues. This year Reeling introduced it’s mascot “Phoenix” The Kitten. I selected various kitten images and made them interact with relevant objects with logos applied. Then I animated them in After Effects in the style of handmade 8mm animation. I combined orchestral and rock versions of “The Sabre Dance” by Katchaturian and edited them to fit the spot.
