The theme for 2014’s Reeling International Film Festival was “Dominance” with Phoenix the kitten returning for a third year, this time as a leather clad monster, dominating the Chicago skyline. I created the elements in Photoshop, animated them in AfterEffects and then cut them together and added sound in Avid Media Composer. I edited down excerpts from Mussorgsky’s Bald Mountain to score the spot. The sponsor trailer plays before all of the screenings of the festival, in three different venues. A thirty second version of the trailer also ran on Comcast cable to promote the festival.
