This trailer was created to present the sponsors of the 31st annual Chicago Gay and Lesbian Film Festival. It ran before every screening at all venues. As it always goes in Hollywood, the success of Phoenix the cat from the previous year’s campaign ensured that there would be a sequel. This years theme was “Energized.” Phoenix goes on a little road trip, energizing everyone and everything he meets. And even finds love! I created the elements in Photoshop, animated them in After Effects, did an edit in Avid and scored the trailer with an original EDM track.
